GPS Technologies in use by CADTECH: CADTECH has used the GPS/GSM Falcom terminals and the ORBCOMM terminals to conduct a series of tests for technology demonstration for a number of prospective clients. The limitations of basic GPS and the costly means of data transmission through the GSM network or the low orbit satellite constellation from ORBCOMM were a hurdle that prevented the development of these location based services. Cell ID was as well tested but the very poor precision made it almost impossible to process relevant applications in most of the cases.
The EGNOS/WAAS Upgrade: The EGNOS A-GPS was successfully tested by CADTECH in Morocco in partnership with ALCATEL SPACE. A live test was done to the incumbent cell operator and was totally satisfactory to all parties. In fact, none of the people present have ever seen such a friendly user and precise system. The integration of the ALCATEL SPACE technologies with our SYGER LBS and mapping content was done flawlessly and worked together in perfect harmony. EGNOS Technologies is going to be a major corner stone for our future development.
